Indian Garment Construction

Inspiration:
"Weavers,weaving at fall of night,
Why do you weave a garment so bright?...
Like the plumes of a peacock, purple and green,
We weave the marriage veils of a queen."

Line Planning & Design Development

Designing for Dior A/W 2011
Theme: Two Faced..takes inspiration from the two different personalities of a performer, the bold one on stage and the nervous and shy one off-stage.
Dior mixes lightweight fabrics like chiffon and georgette with heavier fabrics like leather and fur and this has been taken into consideration while designing for the collection.
